U.S. Cellular Hello Better

I switched to U.S. Cellular from another wireless carrier I was with for over 15 years.  At first it was more of an emergency type phone for me.  And over the years, I needed more minutes.  Last year, we had times of family crisis.  My brother suddenly passed away and a few months later, my mom had a stroke (2 weeks after my emergency appendectomy).  My minutes were really adding up, going over my plan, but I had to be in touch with a lot of family members.  My husband had been a U.S. Cellular customer for years and persuaded me to go to a U.S. Cellular Store to check it out.  I really wanted to keep my same number.  We had a wonderful person help us through my switch and I am so glad I did.

U.S. Cellular is launching a new campaign:  Hello Better:

• U.S. Cellular is encouraging people to say goodbye to dysfunctional wireless relationships and say hello to a better experience. Goodbye neglect, hello respect.

• In addition to passionate associates, U.S. Cellular provides customers with unique benefits such as the industry’s only points-based rewards program, no contract after the first contract ends, free incoming calls and texts, free Overage Protection and free Battery Swap for your device.

• U.S. Cellular believes that people deserve better. A mobile phone is supposed to make life simpler and easier to get things done. Your relationship with your wireless carrier should be the same.

Check out U.S. Cellular Wireless Plans to see what they have to offer.  They also offer a U.S. Cellular rewards plan.

Pillsbury Baguette Chips Review & Giveaway

We all love to snack.  If you like crunchy, flavorful bagel chips, you have got to try new Pillsbury Baguette Chips.  They come in two mouth-watering varieties, Italian Cheese & Herb and Cheddar Sun-dried Tomato.  I received 3 bags of each to try and I didn't know which one to open first.  Many years ago, I remembered a bagel place where I had a sun-dried tomato bagel.  So, that was the first to be ripped open.  My first taste impression was that memory of how delicious that bagel was.  Needless to say, I shared (okay, maybe bag 2) with my family.  My daughter had some on top of various side dishes this week, the best was crunching some on top of rice, instead of rice noodles.  She favors the Italian Cheese and Herb.

With 130 calories per serving (21 baguette chips), and 50% less fat than regular potato chips, Pillsbury Baguette Chips (5g fat per 29g serving); regular potato chips (11g fat per 29g serving). See nutrition information for sodium content.

Even better, you can download a printable coupon for $0.75 off one package, when you visit http://bit.ly/PBCcoupon today!

Be sure to check out Pillsbury's Facebook Page, or see what's tweeting on Pillsbury's Twitter Page.

My BlogSpark is letting me share this great product with one of my readers with a gift pack for you to win.  Please list your email in the comment section along with your idea of the next flavor Pillsbury should use for the next baguette chip.  Deadline for entry is Tuesday, July 10th at noon.  Winner will be picked via random number generator and have 24 hours to respond with their mailing address which will be provided to MyBlogSpark for direct fulfillment.

Take a Load Off!!!

Tide and Future Friendly have launched the Take A Load Off  sweepstakes to encourage cold water washing. Make the promise to switch to washing in cold water on the  Future Friendly Facebook page and you'll be entered to weekly win a High Efficiency Washer and Dryer and a one-year supply of Tide Coldwater!  Enter once a day, through May 13th.

Did you know that when doing laundry, heating water can account for up to 80 percent of the energy used per wash load in the U.S.? For instance, if an average household switched to cold water washing for one year, it would save enough energy to:
  • Watch TV for 1,363 hours
  • Charge an iPhone 4S 30,861 times
  • Power an average new refrigerator for nearly 4 months
Making the switch to washing in cold is an easy change to make with Tide Coldwater, which is specially formulated to get clothes clean in cold water.

I do quite a bit of cold water washing and look forward to trying Tide Coldwater myself.

Kashi Cereals

I recently tried Kashi GO LEAN Crunch cereal.  I had previously seen the commercial where people are given a big plastic egg with a sample of Kashi inside.  I never thought a whole grain cereal would satisfy my taste buds, but it really tastes awesome.  It has so much protein, fiber and whole grains along with natural sweetness. I really love the honey note in it.

One of the keys to feeling energized to start your day is a good, nutritious breakfast.  I am glad to have found Kashi and suggest you give it a try too.

The Kashi REAL Project raises awareness that more than one-third of kids aren't getting the nutrition they need.  Check out Kashi on facebook and click like.  Kashi will make a $10 donation to the Junior League's Kids in the Kitchen program.  Kashi will also be working with other organizations throughout the year.

Oh What Fun it is to Sled

First real snow of the season Thursday.  Took my son sledding at our local sledding spot.  Lots of fun and hot chocolate at home to warm up afterwards.  What's your favorite wintertime sport?
