      • You can use Instagram and Vine to capture holiday memories and share them with family and friends by some of the following ways to enjoy Better Moments with friends and family.
        • Share holiday recipes. Let your friends and family watch you make your favorite holiday meals or desserts. Recipes on Vine and Instagram often show preparation or presentation tutorials. You can take your followers through step-by-step directions so they can try it on their own.   Help older relatives share family recipes that can be passed down to future generations.
        • Send holiday messages. Calling your loved ones is always important, but it might be fun to send personalized Vine or Instagram videos you can send and tag them in. With access to U.S. Cellular’s high-speed nationwide network, you can upload and share your greetings quickly, even if you’re away on a holiday vacation, your family can feel closer together and share in your excitement.
        • Show off holiday lights. Bring the photos of holiday lights strung around your home or neighborhood to life by making a video of them. You could start a time lapse video of you putting them in place or showcase any special effects.
        • Follow hashtags for promotions.  There are a number of brands that utilize Vine and Instagram to promote their products or specials, especially around the holidays. Search for their verified accounts and see what they have to offer.  This is one thing I like to do.  Enter sweeps using these apps are so easy and following hashtags is one way to enter easily.

        • Gift Under $25 – Accessories are essential for your smartphone or tablet. A case, shell, skin or travel charger makes a great stocking stuffer. I know someone in my family that might like the Shell/Holster Combo or the Skullcandy headset.

    Green Giant Raise a Giant

At Green Giant, we know it takes a lot more to raise a healthy child then just getting them to eat their vegetables.  One of the hardest things kids have to deal with is bullying.

That's why Green Giant is partnering with PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center and We Day Minnesota to help parents RAISE A GIANT and put a stop to bullying in their community.

Being a giant means standing up for others.  Lend a hand to those in trouble and speak up for those who sometimes find it hard to speak up for themselves.  My own child and his friends have demonstrated this in school when a special needs child was being made fun of, they let the child's aide know.  They knew that wasn't okay to be happening and had the courage to stand up.

Our local school district has also taken a stand on bullying.

Talk to your child about the RAISE A GIANT anti-bullying campaign.  Take a look at their website for tips and ideas.

Disclosure: I was provide information from Green Giant.  All opinions posted are my own.  A contribution was made in my name to the Pacer Center for Bully protection.

    U.S. Cellular CAC Campaign

U.S. Cellular's Calling All Communities (CAC) Campaign will return for the fifth year November 4-25 and now is the time to prepare and rally your community to support a local school.

It challenges schools to rally community support to vote for their school for the chance to win a share of $500,000 to fund what their students need the most.

The top 20 schools that garner the most community votes will each win $25,000 to use as they wish to enhance their educational experience.

There is only one vote per person.

Here are some ways U.S. Cellular suggests to get involved:

When the campaign launches, there will be a printable flyer on the website to help spread the word.  Get sports teams, school board or student groups to hand out flyers, as well as asking local businesses to share flyers with their customers.

Post information on your school's website with a link to the U.S. Cellular website for updates.

Since the program began in 2008, U.S. Cellular has awarded $4 million to 56 Schools across the country. Past winners of CAC used their prize money in a variety of ways:  new computers, renovating gyms, kitchens and science labs.  Even some awarded scholarships or made donations.  What school couldn't use money to invest in advance technology in schools to enhance children's educational goals?

U.S. Cellular is an active member of their customers' communities and believes this campaign is a great way to engage all of their communities to work towards a common goal.

Check U.S. Cellular's website for your local U.S. Cellular location for more information.

Is your school interested and needs more information?  If so, please let me know below in the comments and I will be sure to repost links when the campaign launches.
