Target Big G Retro Cereals

It’s time to go Retro with your favorite Big G Cereals, exclusively at Target!  #CerealThrowback
This month and for a limited time only, celebrate “A Delicious Debut” of classic breakfast cereals favorites featuring their original packaging from their first public appearance: Cheerios – 1945; Lucky Charms – 1964; Honey Nut Cheerios – 1979; Cinnamon Toast Crunch – 1984. Reese’s Peanut Puffs – 1994. And while the look may be a nostalgic, each comes packed with all the same whole grains and nutrition that customers have come to know and love.  The boxes are a lot of fun to look at.

The first box devoured in my house was Lucky Charms!  I was a year old when they came out and remember eating them growing up.  Frosted Lucky Charms, they're magically delicious rings in my ear every time I see the box!  Horseshoes, moons, hearts, clovers, love all the marshmallows!  I also remember at times different marshmallow shapes livening up my breakfast before school.
Honey Nut Cheerios (must be the honey) are always a favorite with my kids.

Cereal is something you can feel good about eating anytime of day!

Check out General Mills website.  The list of Big G Cereals is quite amazing.  How many of these Big G cereals have you tried?  How many boxes are in your pantry or on top of your refrigerator right now?  Don't miss out on these really exciting packages of Big G Retro Cereal only available at Target!

U.S. Cellular helps your Garden Grow

Snow is really melting around here (finally!)  It's time gardening is more than just wishful thinking.  It's time for some planning.  There are some really fun apps to use, and I want to tell you about some I have downloaded on my Iphone 5s I have with U.S. Cellular and the 4G LTE network.

I am also kinda addicted to the weather, so I check out the Weather Channel frequently.  Sure, look out the window, but what's tomorrow supposed to be like? Throughout the prime gardening season, the weather can be unpredictable. It is important to keep an eye on those changing weather conditions to make sure plants are getting plenty of water and are protected from frost and cold that can be threatening for new plants.

With the help of a smartphone or tablet and some creative apps, both novice and experienced gardeners can simplify and enhance growing their gardens and planting the seeds for savings.

According to the National Gardening Association, an average well-maintained garden can yield up to $500 worth of produce, which can help families save money at the grocery store.  Saving money can enable better family moments by being able to use that money in other ways.

Whether the desire to see your garden blossom is driven by saving money, simply to add curb appeal to your home, or create a backyard heaven, there are a lot of great apps that can ensure you’re choosing the right seeds and plants for your climate and conditions, and protecting your investment in your garden and of course, gardening as a family can enable better family moments as you are sharing some time together.  And vegetables from all your hard work sure taste better on your plate.  Kids just might be more apt to eat veggies they helped grow!

 iScape Free:
Before tilling away at the landscape around your home, take a moment to snap a photo of your yard as it is, and use this creative app to add pathways, shrubs, lighting and flowers to view realistic renderings of your ideas. iScape Free, in Apple’s App Store, brings gardening ideas closer to reality before spending a penny.  Now with the snow melting, I can rethink the old flower bed and shrubbery that didn't make it through the rough winter.

Compass Garden Plant:
No matter the experience of a gardener, the season always seems to bring a few pests or weeds. A nuisance in the garden can ruin everything, but this app offers several product suggestions to help get rid of any number of pests. Gardeners can also take a photo of any pest, plant or weed and submit it to have it identified by a team of experts quickly so they can make sure they’re not wasting time or money treating the wrong threat. Simply download the app in Google Play or Apple’s App Store to get started.  When we first moved here, there were some raised garden beds in the backyard that had mounds of anthills in one.  We got rid of it 2 years ago, and I bet having the Compass Garden Plant app may have given me bushels of tomatoes instead of ants.

Need some help with your phone from U.S. Cellular?  How about attending a Device Workshop in your area to learn more about utilizing all that your device has to offer.

Any helpful apps you have downloaded for use on your U.S. Cellular device, that you want to share with us here?  Please comment below.

Old El Paso Frozen Entrees - No Way That's Frozen

You can now find premium, handcrafted, Old El Paso Frozen entrees for two in the freezer aisle of your local grocery store. With eight different flavors of fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas and burritos, these entrees are sure to fulfill your dinner needs in a quick and delicious way.

Old El Paso Shredded Beef Enchiladas.  Pretty in the package and currently cooking in my oven.  I decided to try the micro-bake option which shortens cooking time.  (Can you tell I am hungry?)

I was not disappointed, as it had great flavor with the chili sauce/spices, cheese mixture and onions wrapped in a corn tortilla.  This package size is for 2 servings and it was just a perfect sized meal for 2.  Sorry no after cooking picture, we ate them so fast and so thoroughly enjoyed them.

In the past, we tried the Steak Fajitas.  A nice size bag full of meat, onions, red/green peppers.  Just add the tortillas.   Good beefy flavor and such an easy meal for 2 to prepare.

The other item I am going to try next are the Shredded Beef Burritos.

Another option are quesadillas.  All the choices are also available with chicken.

Take a look next time you are in the frozen food section and are looking for an easy delicious meal for 2.  Old El Paso may be just the answer.  No Way That's Frozen.

Bonus:  Box Tops for Education (BTFE) on package.
